Families Overcoming Poverty Within One Generation
Thanks to our finely tuned programs in the earlier grades, we are approaching a crucial tipping point: for the first time, we have nearly as many students in secondary and tertiary education as in primary. More students than ever are staying the course through school and reaching the Grade 12 national exam. As these graduates go on to achieve higher levels of academic success, we continue to expand our scholarship program to support the growing number of Grade 12 finishers—young Cambodians who are becoming role models and advocates for education within their communities.
Our goal is to ensure that students from impoverished families have the opportunity to reach their full potential and access the same opportunities as their more privileged peers. Designed to support students at the most critical stages of their educational journey, our scholarships open the door to further study, meaningful employment, and a more equitable future for both their families and their communities.
A full university scholarship for a bachelor’s degree at a good school costs between $7,500–$10,000, covering everything from tuition and laptops to living stipends. We know that for many of our wonderful supporters, funding an entire scholarship can feel like a big leap, and that’s exactly why we’ve made it possible to team up and make it happen together.
If we can fill this progress bar by September 2026, we’ll introduce you to the students whose future you’ve helped unlock!
Donating to our scholarship fund today can ensure students access employment opportunities that change the trajectory of not only their lives, but their families' too.
If you’d like to fund one (or more!) full scholarships personally, please reach out to cassie@theplf.org, we’d love to hear from you :-)
