Let's Get Wheels Turning
Let's Get the Wheels Turning
At PLF Projects in the far north at Preah Vihear, we ferry students from three remote villages (Romchek, Koh Ker and Tha Phra) to Secondary School at Srayang, where across the road we have a Learning Center that provides lunch for all the students and extracurricular classes to round out their public school education.
The key component to all this are the trucks that we have converted to school buses. Without them no one can get to secondary school, a situation that is very common in remote areas. Solving this disenfranchisement is why we work in Preah Vihear.
We currently have two trucks on the road and will need a third to hold the surprising number of students who were able to pass our grade 6 exam and gain a seat.
We have three weeks to get this done before the new school year begins in mid January.
We can do it with your help. Two donors have seeded the campaign, let’s get this over the top by the end of December!
