Klaus' Birthday Fundraiser
In 2013, I had the opportunity to take a year's sabbatical and traveled around the world, visiting 11 countries. One of my shortest & most cherished visits of the trip was to Cambodia. I loved the people I met there at once. In a way, I also felt attached to them, and still do, maybe because of my East German background. Like Cambodians, I had experienced a totalitarian system, and unlike them, I (and my fellow citizens) had overcome it much more luckily. This is why I feel compelled to share some of the fortune I have had with people who deserve (at the very least) the same.
The problem with philanthropic support is ensuring it gets into the right hands. I can assure you - the PLF is the right hands. The PLF's slogan is “School is the answer“ - the organization provides schooling for over 2,500 students living in poverty in remote areas, and have been doing so with a great impact for 15+ years now. They know where help is needed most & are there to support.
This year for my birthday I am asking you to join me in supporting the work they are doing. A little bit goes a long long way in Cambodia and I’d love for all of us to pitch in and help! www.theplf.org
